Fall Soccer

The three older kids had their first soccer game - all three scored a goal!!! What a great way to start the season! They are all on really good teams and it is so fun to see all those early years of soccer playing finally paying off!

Pinewood Derby Track

Justin got to race his Pinewood Derby car down the world's longest BSA Pinewood Derby Track at ReAL Salt Lake. He loved it and his car was one of the few that made it to the very end of the track!

They're Back...To School!

When the kids arrived at school the custodians were wearing tuxedos and greeting the kids for the first day...a "Red Carpet Welcome!"

We had such a great summer, not until Monday was I ready to see the kids go back to school! They were all excited, along with a little nerves. Emily and Savanah are starting the 6th grade - both have the teachers they wanted. Emily has Mrs. Eliason, Savanah has Miss Gill. Justin is starting the 4th grade and has Mrs. Womble, he isn't sure he wants her for a teacher yet - I am sure they will all do great and love being back in school!

Kate's Day!

What a crazy birthday for Kate! Emily and Savanah were invited to a birthday/swim party in Provo. Justin was invited to go to 7 Peaks with Chandler, plus we had lots of errands to be done in Provo/Orem.

We got the girls off to their party, Justin off with Aunt Jennie and Chandler then headed to get everything done! Jeff was great getting kids/stroller in and out of the car, sun screening everyone up, going in and out of stores so I could sit in the car and not "over do it". We did manage to take Kate and Ethan to lunch - she requested fries and sprite! And they played at the park while we waited for the girls to finish up at their party. We headed to 7 peaks to get Mallory from Aunt Jennie to take her home for a nap, and dropped Savanah off to have more swimming at 7 peaks with the boys! Emily is getting over a cold and wasn't interested in doing more.

By the time everyone was home for the night it was late, but we still had Kate open her gifts and sing Happy Birthday to her! We can't believe Kate is three. Kate loves to get herself dressed every morning and can't wait to start preschool in a few weeks!

Soccer for Ethan!

Aliyah Atcitty and Ethan

This is the first year Ethan has been old enough to play soccer. We asked him if he wanted to play on a team with his best friend Aliyah who lives next door. He was so excited! However all excitement ended when we arrived at his first game - he wouldn't play! He is a great player and does well in practice and at home, but as soon as game time comes he won't play. Hopefully with our coaxing we can get him out there!

Backyard Sleep-Over

Justin had his first sleepover - in the backyard in a tent! He invited his friend Dylan next door to come sleepover. I think they managed to get about five hours of sleep. They had a lot of fun, but Dad and Mom aren't ready to do this activity again for a while!

Hysterectomy

I usually don't have much on the blog about me, but this isn't exactly how I wanted it!

After a year of struggling with my health, it was time to finally have surgery. I first went to my Doctor a year ago this month to get help with bleeding problems. In March an ultra sound finally revealed the problem - a uterus full of fibroids! Putting of a hysterectomy since May I finally decided it was time. Everything went better than expected - my uterus was so large due to the fibroids it was pushing other organs downward, which all went back into place once my uterus was removed. My doctor also discovered a cyst the size of a small orange on one of my ovaries that was drained and removed at the same time. Even though this wasn't a fun experience, I am glad it is finally over and I'm on my way to feeling a lot better!

Hail Storm

We had a crazy summer storm come through - including lots of hail! The kids thought it was great to see ice on the ground in August. Unfortunately it did damages our garden/trees, hopefully they will recover!
