This year for Thanksgiving we decided to go to Ogden to Grandmummy Porter's house for dinner. She said this was her last year cooking so we felt like we better go for the last time! The Oyler's also joined us for dinner and we all had fun being together.
Before driving to Ogden we decided to see a show as a family - something new for us! We took the kids to Mega Mind and they loved it, it was a great way to start Thanksgiving day.

No Screen Time
They did it! Emily and Savanah had a N.O.V.A. challenge at school to not look at a screen for a week. This included TV, computer, and ipods! At first they felt like there wasn't anything to do, but soon found how much fun they could have not watching a screen. It was fun to watch them play with their friends on the weekend and make up different games and activities to do with each other, and it was a little quieter on the weekend with no TV on!

Justin's 10!

First thing this morning Justin wanted to open his gifts. He is one thankful little boy! Every present he opened brought so much excitement, maybe he thought he wasn't getting anything?!? He really loved all his gifts and his best present of all...Emily and Savanah cleaned his room for him which is no easy task - it took them an hour to clean/organize all his toys!Dylan (left), Justin (right)

This year Justin wanted to try rock climbing for his birthday. We took him and a few friends to the Rock Quarry in Provo. They had a blast! I think they were all a little nervous watching Jeff and I learn knots, and become certified on belaying (it seemed like a lot of information!) After we both passed and reassured them all we wouldn't let them fall, they were off! The boys all did great and really loved it!

For Justin's birthday dinner he chose Chili's! Lucky for him we still had Chandler with us so he got to bring a friend to dinner. The kids laughed and had a great time all through dinner. We came home and had cake and ice cream to finish off the night. Justin loved having his birthday on a Saturday so we could celebrate with him all day long!
