"Y" HIke

With the Bills in town we decide to hike the "Y" luckily we had done the hike last spring so we knew what we were in for!  Everyone did great!

Ethans toe

Some time in July Ethan was getting his scooter out of the garage (it was hanging up) and he dropped it on his big toe - ouch!  Immediately it turned black and blue which worried us a little bit.  It kept swelling up and during the second night his toe split open from the swelling - again ouch!  Trying to keep his toe clean in the summer time was next to impossible and it got infected and the flesh around the wound was dying.  The smell was unbelievable :(  The Dr. put him on two different antibiotics to try and clear it up as soon as possible so we didn't loose the toe.  Finally his toe nail came off and started to heal.  It took a good month for the toe nail to start growing again but it sure was a good sight to see!

Eden

We look forward to our Eden trip every year!  So nice that Grandmummy gives us her time share, and not one but two condos - the big kids love having their own place :)  The resort is so much fun and gives us a lot to do...swimming, tennis, racket ball, tether ball, volley ball, horse shoes and hiking.  Makes everyone in the family happy!  The highlight for the older kids is renting jet ski's at Pineview Reservoir for the day.  This trip we also went to Causey Dam to fish and went to Snow Basin to ride the tram to the top of the mountain.  One the way home we stopped at Hill Air Force Museum for a quick tour.

Justin's first tournament of the year, they played great and took 2nd place!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July - it always is at Grandpa and Grandmas!  We swam, had a BBQ, fireworks and enjoyed a day being with our family.

Fishing Trip

As soon as Jeff got home from scout camp with Justin he took off with Blake for a fishing trip to Boulder Mountain.  They had a great time on their "Boys Trip."  Seems like it mostly consisted of fishing and 4-wheeling, just what boys love!

Scout Camp

Justin had a great time at Scout Camp.  This year our new ward went to Schofield Reservoir.  Justin was able to earn 3 merit badges and 2 partials.  Jeff was also able to go up for a few days and spend some time with Justin and the other boys.  The highlight of the week for Justin was earning his Outdoorsmen merit badge.  He thought it was neat so sleep outside alone for a night in the mountains!

Girls Camp

Emily and Savanah had a great time at girls camp!  They both were very hesitant to go since they would be going with our new ward and weren't enjoying the change :)  Girls camp was exactly what they needed!  The week with the new ward girls away from everything was perfect.  They made new friends and the girls they didn't really love they ended up loving!  They came home exciting about their new friendships and so much more willing to be part of our new ward.  I received great reports from Young Women leaders about their attitudes and willingness to help around camp (thank goodness!)  I truly feel like my prayers were answered for my girls accepting this new change that was definitely hard for them to adjust to.

Lisa's Birthday

I think this had to be my best "mom" birthday!  Finally a day that I almost got to do everything for myself.  Pedicure in the morning, shopping, meeting a friend for lunch, dinner with Jeff and my favorite cheesecake for dessert with the kids.  Unfortunately a soccer meeting had to sneak its way in my day but that wasn't too bad considering all the fun I got to have!

Swim Team

Justin made swim team again this summer.  He made the second to highest team but had some friends on the highest team and was able to swim good enough to be moved up!  He had a great time being with some boys he knew and is looking forward to next summer.

Emily and Savanah's 14th Birthday

Emily and Savanah had a great birthday!  They finally got their own phones!  Dinner of choice was Olive Garden and Better Then Robert Redford cake for dessert.  Good thing they agree on food :) 

Their friends invited them to a sleep over and surprised them in the morning by taking them to breakfast.  That night another group of friends invited them over for a surprise party - and they were surprised!

 They also got new bikes - beach cruisers that they love riding around the neighborhood.
